Twenty-five years of focused engineering on a single product.
PowerArchiver was created in 1998 by Ivan Petrovic as an archive-management utility for Windows. As the user base expanded, ConeXware, Inc. was founded in Huntington Beach, California in 2001 by Nathan Mook and Drazen Dodig to support continued product development and global operations. The company is now headquartered in Reston, Virginia, with two European offices supporting localization, partner channels, and customer-facing operations across time zones.
The product has been localized into 30+ languages and is in active production use across more than 150 countries. The customer base includes U.S. federal agencies, defense contractors, state and local governments, healthcare networks, financial institutions, and Fortune 500 enterprises — many of whom procure via volume contracts, GSA / SEWP schedules, or preferred vendor channels. The product line has been extended over time to include the PowerArchiver Office Add-In (Outlook, Excel, Word) and the PACL command-line tool.
ConeXware remains privately held and independently owned. PowerArchiver's compression engine is licensed to other software vendors as a white-label OEM product — most prominently, Ashampoo's consumer ZIP product line is built on top of our engine. The OEM relationship validates the codebase at production scale beyond our direct customer base.
